Dry sausage, South African style. It is tasty, is 100% beef (!) and much easier to chew than the standard dry sausage, which is often rock-hard, difficult to cut and difficult to chew. And my droewors consists of 100% beautiful beef. Black Angus beef to be precise. So not a mix of pork and every other waste product that can be crammed into it.
Such a bag of 250 grams is packed with about 14 sausages of over 14 centimeters in length and they look great on the table in a large beer glass while playing Sunday night poker, Catan or watching a movie.
My droewors is made by the Moorcroft family, 6th generation South African biltong makers who recently emigrated from South Africa back to the United Kingdom and from there they can focus on the European market. Fortunately Brexit did not prevent that.
